Relying on A History of Success for Your Future

Brent J. Spinks is a former Smith County assistant district attorney. He has over 30 years of experience and handles personal injury cases for victims of automobile accidents, faulty products, medical malpractice and more. In addition, he is a member of the Texas State Bar Association and Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

The son of a construction superintendent and a secretary, Brent doesn't come from a long line of "business as usual" attorneys. He earned a degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University before attending Baylor University's School of Law, where he obtained his Juris doctorate in 1991.

His time spent working in the district attorney's office taught him how rewarding it could be to speak up for the rights of people victimized by the actions of others. He continues to pride himself on being an advocate for people injured by carelessness and negligence.

“I don't know of many other counties where a young lawyer can try two felony cases to a jury in a single week. I am thankful for the experience and privilege of having been able to have been an advocate for victimized Texans.”

If you are dealing with an insurance company without a lawyer, you are bringing a baseball bat to a gun fight.
